Communicating ESD in Europe's largest Geopark

In our activities we convey aspects such as sustainability, climate & change, fair trade & consumption, water & plastics in a playful way. The basic idea is to provide participants with basic knowledge, as this is the only way to recognize and implement the SDGs and the importance of ESD.
We are a recognized extracurricular learning place. Our programs such as "Forest Secrets", "WaterWonderWorld" and "Much Sea Than You Think" focus on topics such as the history of the earth, forests, life in and above water and climate change. In the campaign "Pupils make future - learning to live sustainability", sustainability and "empowerment" are specifically taught with the aim of encouraging pupils to help shape the future in a sustainable way.
ESD also plays an important role in the training courses for adults. The participants are trained to take up the topic in their future offers.
Since 2021, we set an annual theme to deal specifically and intensively with a specific sustainability goal. To this end, we organize activities, guided tours and lectures.
Together with us, many of our partners are pursuing the sustainability goals of the Global Agenda 2030, because together you often achieve more! Geoparks not only offer nationally significant landscapes and geotopes, they also link many ESD-relevant topics such as resources, culture and history.
